Perth community television ACCESS 31

VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are an integral part of ACCESS 31. As a community organisation we rely on talented, dedicated people to help out in a range of areas including video tape operation, presentation coordination, editing and previewing. In return we offer our volunteers the opportunity to gain experience and hone their skills in a professional television broadcasting environment. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.

First, apply for membership

ACCESS 31 membership is required before you can register to become one of our volunteers. If you are not already a member, please visit our "Membership" section where you will find instructions and the appropriate documentation. Once you have filled out your Community Membership Application and Email Authorisation forms, and paid the appropriate annual fee, you will be eligible to volunteer at ACCESS 31. Not only does your membership provide positive support for ACCESS 31 but so does your intention to volunteer. The initial Membership fee helps to cover insurance and other administration costs.

Next, register to become a volunteer

All the forms a member will need to become an ACCESS 31 volunteer are on this website. You'll find them listed in the menu bar on the right-hand side of this page.

  • The "Positions Available" link outlines the type of work available to our volunteers.
  • "Rights and Responsibilities" provides additional information which must be read prior to registering as a volunteer.
  • The Member’s Volunteer Registration form is available here as a PDF. Please download it and print it out, providing as much detail as possible.
  • It is also mandatory for volunteers to fill out a "Confidentiality Agreement" form. Again, this is available via the links in the right-hand menu as a PDF for downloading, printing and signing.
  • When you have completed the appropriate forms, please deliver them to ACCESS 31 reception or post them to us.

Then, organise a security card

We also have a security system in place. A proximity card will enable you to get access to the station if you are on a shift outside office hours. It will be programmed to work during your shift. Volunteers who require a security card should talk to our Volunteers Coordinator.

We look forward to you joining the ACCESS 31 team and trust your association with us will be of mutual benefit.
